Westport, CT– April 7, 2006 – On Saturday, April 22 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, Williams Sonoma, located at 136 Main Street, Westport, CT, and Chef Nicole Straight of Time To Eat! will team up to present a cooking demonstration featuring Nicole’s famous 15 minute meal recipes that will highlight the well-known, high-quality products from Williams Sonoma.
Nicole Straight, a professionally trained chef, cookbook author, food contributor for WTNH, and mother of two has developed a new concept in cooking geared towards overscheduled parents. Nicole, through, Time to Eat! which is also based in Westport, CT, teaches parents how to make fast, healthy meals in 15 minutes in order to bring the family back to the dinner table.
“Most parents today find it difficult and time consuming to prepare a great meal that the whole family will enjoy. I can help busy parents solve that problem in 15 minutes by demonstrating how easy cooking can be for a busy family,” exclaims Chef Nicole Straight.

Asian glazed steak with shitake mushrooms and snap peas
Serves 4
1 tsp. sesame oil
1 lb. thinly sliced steak for stir frying
1/2 C. sliced shitake mushrooms
1/2 C. shredded cabbage
1/2 C. fresh snap peas
1/4 C. Chinois Asian Grilling & Roasting Glaze from Williams Sonoma
Sesame seeds for garnish
*Can be served with jasmine rice or soba noodles
In a large nonstick pan, heat sesame oil. When hot, add steak. Let cook for 1 minute, or until bottom of steak begins to turn brown. Stir and add mushrooms and cabbage. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring to incorporate. Add snap peas and Asian Grilling Sauce. Cook for an additional 1 minute and garnish with a pinch of sesame seeds.
